Recently, the Community Services Committee were out presenting cheques from the Simcoe lions club. Lions Tracy, Lion Cam, Lion Rob and Lion Dave were able to give a Cheque for $1500 to Simcoe Young Theatre. (youth faces blurred for privacy) Lion Wayne, Lion Cam and Lion Ron Presenting a cheque to Crimestoppers. More great causes supported by area Lions club.

On October 1st, that family legacy of community service came full circle. At our first meeting of the month, Lion President Cam Carter and Lady Lion Rose made a personal donation of $5,000 to the Norfolk District Community Foundation in support of the Wellington Park Project.

A good community gift doesn’t just help today, it keeps kids moving, learning, and feeling supported.

October 15 meeting was a visit from Penny Banks, Senior Development Officer with Campfire Circle (Camp Trillium), introduced by Lion PP Glenford Deming.
