About Us
Chartered in 1931, the Simcoe Lions Club is one of the district’s largest and most vibrant service clubs, uniting roughly 100 dedicated members from all walks of life. For over nine decades, our multigenerational fellowship has proudly served Norfolk County under the motto *"We Serve."*
What truly sets us apart is our absolute commitment to stewardship: **100% of all public donations directly fund local community causes**, while member dues cover every administrative cost. From maintaining community parks and backing youth sports to supporting vision care and hosting beloved traditions like our annual Variety Show, we turn community spirit into tangible action. Through selfless hands-on work and lasting camaraderie, we build a healthier, more connected Simcoe.
Mission
Our mission is to empower dedicated volunteers to serve Norfolk County with compassion, purpose, and integrity. We meet pressing humanitarian needs, champion local youth, enhance public spaces, and foster an inclusive, vibrant community where every resident has the opportunity to thrive.
Living out our global motto—"We Serve"—we turn community care into practical action through hands-on service and local fundraising. We stand by an uncompromising promise of stewardship: 100% of all funds raised from the public go directly to charitable and community causes, while all administrative costs are funded entirely by our members. Through fellowship, active leadership, and lifelong service, we build a stronger, healthier Simcoe today and for generations to come.
Vision
Our vision is to be the premier community leader in humanitarian service, shaping a thriving, resilient, and connected Norfolk County where every resident has the opportunity to flourish.
We envision a future where vibrant public parks and recreational spaces bring families together, local youth are empowered through robust sports and educational initiatives, and vulnerable neighbours receive compassionate, immediate support. Guided by our global motto, "We Serve," we strive to cultivate an enduring culture of hands-on volunteerism across generations. By ensuring that 100% of public funds continue to enrich our local community, we are building a lasting legacy of fellowship, civic pride, and meaningful local impact for decades to come.

History
Founded in March 1931, the Simcoe Lions Club began with a handful of civic-minded citizens dedicated to hands-on community service. Celebrating our 90th anniversary in 2021, the club has grown into one of the district’s largest and most active entities, boasting approximately 100 members spanning multiple generations—including dedicated veterans with over 50 years of continuous service.
Over nine decades, our club has evolved alongside Norfolk County. We have funded vital public infrastructure, enhanced local parks, supported vision care and health initiatives, and championed youth athletics and education. From the enduring tradition of our annual Variety Show to regional community projects, our history is defined by adaptable leadership and an unwavering commitment to "We Serve."
