First Vice District Governor Pamela Ballah Visits Simcoe
Our October 15 general meeting in Waterford welcomed a special guest: First Vice District Governor Lion Pamela Ballah of the Chippawa Lions Club, introduced by Lion Chief Cam Carter.

Lion Pam has been a Lion since 1999 and has done just about every job in her club — everything except secretary. By day she's a busy bookkeeper; in Lions life she's been deeply involved in District projects including 'No Child Without,' Lioness Liaison, and LFC Dog Guides of Canada. And she has her sights set higher: she told us of her ambition to become District Governor.

Her message to us was simple and encouraging: the District is available to help every club, and we should never hesitate to ask. She noted that Simcoe is fortunate to have three Past District Governors on our own roster — a wealth of knowledge we can tap into any time. She singled out Portal training and marketing support as resources too many clubs overlook, and closed with the line that stuck with everyone: all we need to do is ask.
Thank you, Lion Pam, for making the trip to Waterford — and good luck on the road to District Governor.
