For more than 20 years, our members have adopted families through the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation during the holidays. We have partnered with Lions In Sight on vision clinics in Mexico and Peru, served thousands of meals and assisted bowlers at the Blind Center of Nevada, sorted eyeglasses, volunteered at Lions Camp Dat-So-La-Lee and Lions Camp Lotza Fun, and raised funds for the UMC Lions Burn Care Center. We have participated in Adopt-A-Highway, hosted Flag Day assemblies to educate students about the American flag, and supported talented high school students through the Student Speaker Contest. These are just a few of the many ways our members have lived out the Lions motto, “We Serve.”
