About Us
The West Charleston Lions Club has proudly served the Las Vegas community since 1969. Our all-volunteer club gives time, talent, and resources to make a difference locally and beyond. We raise funds and provide hands-on service supporting children, families, seniors, people with vision and hearing challenges, youth, and those facing difficult circumstances. From vision clinics in Mexico and Peru to serving the members of the Blind Center of Nevada, our members live out the Lions motto: “We Serve.”
Mission
Our mission is to serve our community and improve lives through hands-on volunteer service, fundraising, and partnerships with organizations that address important needs. We strive to make a meaningful difference for children, families, seniors, people with disabilities, and others who need support.
Vision
We envision a stronger, more compassionate community where people come together to serve others, support those in need, inspire young people, and create opportunities for individuals and families to thrive.

History
Founded in 1969, the West Charleston Lions Club has spent more than five decades serving Las Vegas and communities beyond. For more than 20 years, our members have adopted families through the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation each holiday season. We have partnered with Lions In Sight to sort eyeglasses for vision clinics in Mexico and Peru, served thousands of meals and assisted bowlers at the Blind Center of Nevada, , volunteered at Lions Camp Dat-So-La-Lee and Lions Camp Lotza Fun, and raised funds for the UMC Lions Burn Care Center. We have participated in Adopt-A-Highway, hosted Flag Day assemblies, and supported talented high school students through the Student Speaker Contest. These are just a few of the many ways our members have lived out the Lions motto, “We Serve.”
